Dr. Doug S. Kimball DMD, FAGD

Dr. Kimball graduated from Oregon Health Science University in 1993 with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry with Honors. Following graduation Dr. Kimball was selected for a General Practice Residency Program at the VA Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Kimball was pleased to be able to begin his private dental practice in his home state of Utah. He has a love of the outdoors, the red rocks of Lake Powell and the Utah powder in the mountains. Dr. Kimball is an avid snowboarder, hitting the slopes as often as he can. During the summer he enjoys camping and boating, especially when the water is smooth enough for waterskiing.
Dr. Kimball earned his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) at Nashville in 1998 after completing over 500 hours of dental education after dental school and passing a rigorous test.
Dr. Kimball has continued in his desire to further his dental education and provide excellent dentistry for his patients by having completed over 2200 hours of continuing dental education to date.
Dr. Kimball attended The Alleman Center completing the Biomimetic Dentistry Course ( tooth conserving dentistry). Dr. Kimball was the first
dentist in Davis County to offer this innovative and minimally invasive way of treating teeth without the need for a standard crown.

In 2008 Dr. Kimball graduated from the world renowned Kois Center. The Kois Center attracts dentist from all over the world who want to learn from Dr. John Kois. The Kois Center is a clinical based program that teaches the latest advances in aesthetics, occlusion and restorative dentistry. Course content is continously modified to include the latest research. Dr. Kimball became a Mentor at the Kois Center after completing 240 hours of courses and passing a comprehensive written exam and passing an oral exam case presentation. As a mentor Dr. Kimball facilitates the learning and teaches other dentists. Dr.Kimball is one of three graduates of the Kois Center in Utah and the only one in Davis County.
While Mentoring at the Kois Center Dr. Kimball discovered his enjoyment of helping other dentists improve their knowledge base and their clinical skills. As a way to continue teaching he became an adjunct faculty member of the Roseman University Dental School. He now has the best of two worlds, providing top quality dental care for his patients and seeing their lives enhanced and using his practical experience to teach the up and coming dentists.
Using his knowledge and clinical skills he donates his time to help others, serving as a volunteer at the 4th Street Clinic in Salt Lake City and Pantry Smiles at the DATC in partnership with Bountiful Pantry. He has also traveled out of country to provide dental care to those in need.
